The XPR-50 (called AS50 in the game files) is a sniper rifle featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Strike Team, Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Call of Duty: Mobile.
Xpr 50 Sniper Riflel
The XPR-50 is unlocked for create-a-class after the completion of the level "Suffer With Me". However, it is also found in the level "Odysseus", where it can be used to provide sniper overwatch and complete a challenge. It's also the secondary weapon choice in Judgement Day.
The XPR-50 is a moderate damage sniper rifle. It deals 95 damage at any distance without damage multipliers in effect. The XPR-50 deals a one shot kill to the upper torso and upwards, also scoring a one shot kill to the entire arm. If a Suppressor is equipped, the XPR-50 will lose its one shot kill to the forearm area, while the damage will decrease to ninety if the player strikes the lower torso area. The XPR-50 has high penetration power, allowing the XPR-50 to shoot through cover while retaining high damage. However, this will heavily hamper the user's chances at getting one shot kills with the weapon.
The XPR-50's rate of fire is above average for the sniper rifle class. It fires semi automatically, with a firecap of 375 RPM. Firing faster than the firecap will further restrict the fire rate. This fire rate is good, especially for the XPR-50, which has damage almost equal to that of the Ballista, but while possessing a much higher rate of fire, therefore heavily increasing the damage per second.
The XPR-50's accuracy traits are subpar. The XPR-50 has a custom scope reticle with standard zoom levels, and the XPR-50's recoil is quite high. It is comparable to that of the bolt action snipers, but since the XPR-50 fires semi-automatically, the recoil is made much more problematic. The XPR-50 also has the second largest idle sway amount in the sniper rifle class, only outclassing the DSR-50 in this regard. The XPR-50, like all other sniper rifles, get a large amount of aim assistance on consoles, and have their idle sway speed halved if not using the default scope. The XPR-50 also has a low centerspeed value of 725 when standing. However, the XPR-50 gains the most centerspeed of all sniper rifles when crouching or in prone. When crouched, the XPR-50 will have a centerspeed of 942, and when prone, the XPR-50's centerspeed increases to a best in-class 1160.
The XPR-50's handling characteristics are quite poor. The aim down sight time is slow overall, at 400 milliseconds, while the XPR-50, like all other sniper rifles, have an extremely large hip-fire crosshair, making it at most a mediocre last resort option. The reload speed is poor overall, taking 3.5 seconds to reload a partially filled magazine, or 4.1 seconds to reload an empty magazine. The reload cancel speed is 2.45 seconds, which is quite unimpressive in the grand scheme, but isn't much different from other sniper rifles.
The Laser Sight will reduce the hip-fire spread significantly, while giving a protruding laser. It's mostly the latter effect that is most valuable on sniper rifles, since players who tend to quickscope may find that the Laser Sight gives a visual aid of where to aim.

The XPR-50 is a versatile sniper rifle, as it can kill in one shot to the chest with the ability to pull off follow-up shots because of its semi-automatic nature. However, while the recoil's kick is only moderate, it resets quite slowly, so being patient with subsequent shots is advised. The default scope is quite clear with a T-shaped reticle, which is adequate for long-range engagements, but optics with lower zoom are helpful for close and medium ranges.
The handling properties are average compared to other sniper rifles. Hipfire accuracy is poor, although rapid fire without aiming can be used as a last resort when caught off-guard in close quarters. Idle sway is moderate, so Ballistics CPU is helpful when using the default scope in making sure the first bullet hits the one-shot kill area. With a magazine size of eight and a fairly slow reload, coupled with the potentially rapid use of bullets, Fast Mags or Extended Mags are recommended. Suppressor is a decent choice, as it incurs no penalty to sniper rifles, and masks the very loud firing sound the XPR-50 emits.
It has the second fastest fire rate of the sniper class, but does not have its one-shot kill potential from previous games if used without the Stopping Power attachment. On average it's a 2-shot kill at all ranges (3 through a wall). With Stopping Power, it gains the ability to one-shot kill upon hitting the upper body. With recent buffs, the one-shot capability of the XPR-50 is more consistent.
The XPR-50 features a high rate of fire but low damage, therefore it often loses fights against other sniper rifles such as the Arctic .50. It is available as Rare and Legendary blueprints (both of which were removed), and Uncommon blueprints in BR - Sniper Challenge.
And while submachine guns currently dominate the COD: Mobile meta, that doesn't mean no other weapon class gets a look in. Such as sniper rifles, which continue to be a great choice in the right hands, capable of excelling in both standard multiplayer and battle royale game modes.
The newest addition to this list, and straight in at the top, is the ZRG 20mm. This sniper rifle boasts incredible firepower and is now the only true rival - when it comes to bona fide sniper rifles - to the DL Q33. With the Anti-Vehicle Mag attached, the ZRG 20mm is a one-shot to anywhere on the body, making it lethal in the right hands.
The previous king and still a top-tier sniper rifle is the DL Q33. A hard-hitter with insane accuracy, the DL Q33 has long been considered the most well-rounded sniper rifle, and with its recoil being improved heading into Season 10 - it's as good as ever.
The XPR-50 was improved massively heading into Season 9 - even with its subsequent 'shadow' nerf. Relatively fast-firing and with impressive damage range make the XPR-50 a truly fearsome sniper rifle - bested only by the two listed above because of their one-shot potential.
The SVD is for snipers who like to keep on the move. With a relatively high fire rate, good mobility, and decent recoil, the SVD allows you to suppress enemies effectively at a distance. Its range and damage aren't too bad either.
The Locus is very similar to the Rytec AMR and faces many of the same issues. They are even more pronounced with this sniper rifle as its mobility is even worse than the gun above. Again, it has its uses in BR, but consider something else in MP.
At one time, the Arctic .50 was all anyone could talk about on account of its overpowered nature, but those days are long gone. This heavy-hitting sniper rifle is still one of the quickest to ADS, but it's bested by the DL Q33 and Koshka.
The Outlaw is a lightweight bolt-action sniper with plenty of redeeming qualities, though it sits in an awkward place between a marksman rifle such as the SVD and a higher caliber sniper rifle like the DL Q33, and that makes it difficult to pick.
Another semi-auto sniper, but unlike the XPR-50, this one has decent damage output. But for all the M21 EBR's qualities, for some reason, it just doesn't translate to good real-world performance. Needs a rework before you should consider picking it up.
That's it for our combined sniper/marksman rifle tier list. But before you go, remember this: these guns all have attachments that can improve their performance, and no weapon class is more about how a gun 'feels' to the user than sniper rifles. So, don't be afraid to try a few out before you settle on one you trust to perform when it matters.
COD Mobile Season 5 is here. As per usual, a new season means players can expect more content to be added to the mobile game, including the Oden Assault Rifle, Echo Grenade, or a battle pass to grind. On top of all that, the developers try to tune the experience with balance changes than can massively shake up the meta. This time around, sniper rifles received minimal changes compared to season 4.
Having said all of this, let's take a look at our sniper rifle tier list for COD Mobile season 5. It's worth mentioning that things will change throughout the season too, so as always, take any tier lists with a grain of salt.COD Mobile Season 5 Tropical Vision - Sniper Rifle tier listThe new season of COD Mobile has kicked off with a bang. (Picture: Activision)Before we get into the nitty-gritty of things, let's describe our tier system. S-Tier: The best of the best. Even with mediocre attachments, this sniper rifle can melt faces off. A-Tier: With the right attachments, these sniper rifles can still deliver some great damage in COD Mobile Season 5.B-Tier: This sniper rifle can't really compete with the S-Tier. However, if you pick all the right attachments they can get the job done.C-Tier: Not really worth it but still useable if you prefer this sniper rifle. It can work in certain situations.D-Tier: The trash tier. Avoid this weapon at all costs since there are better options to choose from.S-Tier sniper riflesRytec AMROutlawDL Q33SVDLocusKoshkaVirtually every sniper on this tier list can get the job done even without the optimised attachments. Some are more versatile than others, like the Koshka, which was introduced in season 4.Another interesting sniper that's suited for beginners that are just picking up this class is the Lotus. It's kind of like the jack of all trades master of none, but it's a perfect starting point if you want to focus on a single aspect of your game.A-Tier sniper riflesThe Kilo is a great choice that's fallen slightly short of S-tier. (Picture: Activison)Kilo Bolt-ActionMK2 CarbineSKSThe Kilo continues to be slightly buffed, but we don't think the season 5 improvements are enough to take the weapon to S-tier. 2ff7e9595c
